Information we collect

When you browse, create an account, contact us or place an order, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, company details, order contents, payment status, support messages, marketing preference and fulfilment or tracking information.

Our operational analytics record limited session information such as the page viewed, referring source, campaign, approximate country or region, device category and event time. We do not store raw card details in Digital-Gen Commerce, and query-string identifiers are excluded from recorded page paths.

How we use information

We use personal information to provide quotations, process and verify orders, prevent duplicate or fraudulent transactions, arrange delivery, send order and tracking updates, provide customer support, maintain business and tax records, improve the store and measure marketing performance.

We send promotional email or SMS only where you have opted in or where applicable law otherwise permits it. You can unsubscribe using the link in a message or contact us directly.

Payments, service providers and international processing

Card payments are completed on the selected payment provider’s secure service. Manual bank-transfer details are used only to match a deposit to an order. We may share the minimum necessary information with payment providers, couriers, email and support providers, fraud-prevention services, hosting providers and professional advisers that help us operate the store.

Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and the service supplied.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, to resolve disputes and to meet accounting, tax, consumer-protection and other legal obligations. We use access controls, encryption for stored integration credentials and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information and request access, correction or deletion; object to certain processing; withdraw marketing consent; or complain about our handling of your information. We may retain information where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
